Drone Ban (July 30 – August 15, 2025)

If you’re planning to fly a drone in Thailand to capture stunning beaches, ancient temples, or vibrant cityscapes, please take note: a nationwide drone ban is in place from July 30 to August 15, 2025. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has announced this restriction due to the Thai–Cambodian border situation.

Who is affected? Everyone — tourists, locals, and licensed operators. All drones are included, from hobby drones to commercial UAVs and agricultural drones.

Penalties: Flying during this period violates the Air Navigation Act B.E. 2497 and could result in fines up to 40,000 THB, imprisonment for up to 1 year, or both.
